Key modification

This week I have had a clarinet in the workshop to adapt the right hand rings for a player who is no longer able to cover the hole with their 3rd finger. She requested a key with a pad and I explained that it would need to move independantly from the other rings and need venting enough so that the other notes are not flat or stuffy. We are leaving it unplated for now so that she can have a really good play on it in her ensembles and make sure that it works for her.
